Chris Hemsworth
The English teacher Leonie Hemsworth (née van Os) and social-services counsellor Craig Hemsworth had Christopher “Chris” Hemsworth on August 11, 1983 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Actor brothers Liam and Luke Hemsworth. His immigrant maternal grandfather was Dutch, Irish, English, Scottish, and German. His married uncle Rod Ansell inspired Crocodile Dundee (1986) with his bushman skills.
Chris toured the nation as a teenager when his family relocated to the Northern Territory and then to Phillip Island south of Melbourne. After failing to audition for Robbie Hunter on Home and Away (1988) in 2004, he was recalled for Kim Hyde, which he played until 2007. Personal life
After meeting through their respective managers in early 2010, Hemsworth began dating Spanish model and actress Elsa Pataky.In December of 2010, they tied the knot. India Rose was born in May 2012, and the couple had twins Sasha and Tristan in March 2014. His family uprooted from Los Angeles and settled in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia in 2015.
Hemsworth has routinely taken his kids to national events where they compete in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which they practise in with Thalison Soares.

Early work (2002–2010)
TV programs launched Hemsworth’s career. Hemsworth played King Arthur in two Guinevere Jones, one Neighbours, and one Marshall Law episodes in 2002. He appeared on The Saddle Club the next year. Hemsworth auditioned for Home and Away’s Robbie Hunter in 2004. He was recalled for Kim Hyde after declining the part. He participated in 171 episodes after joining the Sydney cast. The Home and Away star left July 3, 2007. After Home and Away, Hemsworth got more famous, although he later acknowledged his soap opera success did not help him get into movies.

He co-starred alongside Ed Helms in Vacation, a reboot of the Chevy Chase film series, that year.MTV Movie Awards nominated him for Best Kiss with Leslie Mann. In his last 2015 film, Hemsworth played first mate Owen Chase in In the Heart of the Sea, based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s book. The Huntsman: Winter’s War, released in 2016, featured Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain in the roles of Eric the Huntsman and his love interest, respectively. IndieWire writer Oliver Lyttelton wrote, “they’re both struggling uphill against accents they’re palpably not comfortable with, displaying zero chemistry, and frankly appearing to be in different films.” Both Hemsworth and Chastain have been criticised for their lack of chemistry on screen. Future projects
Originally scheduled to return as George Kirk in the fourth instalment of the rebooted Star Trek film series, Hemsworth dropped out in August 2018 due to failed contract talks; Hemsworth subsequently said the screenplay was unimpressive.Hemsworth’s casting in the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel/sequel Furiosa was revealed on October 13, 2020. After making $20 million from Extraction, Hemsworth will reprise his role as Tyler Rake in the sequel. Hemsworth’s casting as a younger Optimus Prime in the upcoming prequel film Transformers One was confirmed on April 27, 2023. This is his first full-length animated picture.
